During the school year, Izuku and his classmates encounter the League of Villains led by Tomura Shigaraki, who desires to kill All Might and destroy society through monsters with multiple powers known as "Nomu". The faculty suspects there may be a traitor at U.A. due to the League's knowledge about the inner workings of U.A.
After defeating villain Stain, Izuku and his classmates confront the League of Villains, which leads to the revelation of All For One's identity. After rescuing Bakugo, All Might faces off against All For One, leading to All Might's retirement.
Izuku begins an internship with Sir Nighteye, who defeats the Shie Hassaikai and their leader Overhaul. To counter this new threat, the Pro and Training Heroes join forces in a massive operation to arrest the League, but they fail to capture most of them. Dabi reveals himself as Endeavor's son Toya and the abuse that led him to villainy, shattering public trust in the #1 hero.
Izuku leaves U.A. and joins forces with the Paranormal Liberation Front, leaving behind his friends and family.
